CREATIVE WORK SPACE = CREATIVE MIND
Office space is important for the likes of creative marketing agencies, it’s our art space after all and where all the magic happens (mostly) – If you’ve had an opportunity to visit the likes of Ogilvy’s or Mediacom offices you’ll probably agree that the immense focus on interior design is obvious, but even with a smaller agency one will usually find neon lighting, print wall paper, bean bags and pool tables come as basic.
Anyhow, this particular office I had the pleasure of visiting located on the 30th floor of High Street Plaza designed by Christopher Guy (it’s his showroom!) does take the biscuit some what, what I mean is it is ahhmazing, it’s luxurious, classic, contemporary, has a boudoir feel to it and is far far too stunning (for a agency), plus there’s mirrors everywhere…peculiar but it works!
So more on the designer – Christopher Guy is a highly acclaimed British luxury furnish designer whose furniture has featured in the various Hollywood blockbusters including Devil Wears Prada, The Hangover, 007 – Tomorrow Never Dies & Oceans Thirteen. He has also completed projects for many luxury hotels around the world including The Savoy (London), The Trump Plaza (New York), St. Clemente Palace (Venice) & Alantis Hotel (Dubai). His patented Chris-X (pronounced Chris cross) chair leg design inspired by the corseted waist-line of Scarlett O’hara in Gone with the Wind and the crossed legs of a ballerina is his signature. His HQ is here is Singapore whilst his workshop is based in Java.
Below are a few pictures I took, I’m wearing mint skirt, basic orange & nude sandals – Zara & silk print peach shirt – H&M.
