Singapore fashionistas are about to get one seriously exciting delivery on their doorsteps as a little of Japan is coming right here to Singapore…in the form of a fashion and culture event called ‘Hello, Shibuya Tokyo’.
The event is being held in none other than of course Orchard at the Atrium Space in Plaza Singapura, the event will be made up of a number of pop up stores, fashion shows, art exhibitions and opportunities for business meetings with the Japanese fashion brands.
For the first time Singaporeans will have direct access to Japan’s coolest fashion and lifestyle brands and original collaborative products from Japanese and Singaporean designers. A Degree Fahrenheit, Jun Okamoto and plumpynuts are just some of the up and coming designers being featured that are accountable for my eager anticipation of Feb 22nd – I’m like a meerkat on watch duty.
It is organized by and based on the massively popular Parco Shibuya Japan, anyone who has an interest in Japanese fashion, pop culture, art or design need to firmly affix this event in to their calendars, it is definitely not be missed. This is damn exciting for Singapore and I hope that it encourages the support and incubation of local talent, something that is much needed here!
