London Fashion Week has come to an end and there has been some sensational Fall 2012/13 ready to wear collections.
The first McQ collection to make it on to the catwalk was truly exciting and there were some incredible & fundamentally British collections from Paul Smith, Burberry, Daks & Erdem!
Sharp tailoring and black is plentiful throughout and I’ve rounded up a few of the other key trends: textured florals, peplums and velvet.
Felt, lace, gold glitter… textured floral are fundamental in the Christopher Kane, McQ, Giles, Kinder Aggugini & Antonio Berardi AW 2012/13 collections.
I blogged about peplums being a big hit this season in my PPQ post, it definitely was. There were some great exaggerated hips in the Burberry Prorsum, PPQ & Antonio Berardi AW 2012/13 collections.
The return of velvet! I felt that velvet craze last winter was kind of short lived, but its made a comeback and I’m pleased! Velvety details and pieces from the Burberry Prorsum, Paul Smith & Giles AW 2012/13 collections.
These chunky heels from Erdem’s show were very intriguing. I really like the look of Gold and Black together and Antonio Berardi definitely put his pieces together perfectly. Burberry was playful and pretty this season and was a definite hit for me, bring on Fall 2012!
